Long time no see. Yes, I've been busy for a while with the new house. These past few months have been all at once wonderful, overwhelming, inspiring, frustrating, invigorating and just mad crazy! But...I wouldn't change it for all the shoes on a Macy's sales rack. So here I am, in my little piece of the world's pie, decorating, painting arranging....rearranging and all the time still being Mama to Arwen and Mom to Marc, when...what's that...it can't be...it is! I have Roses baby!!!. Three bushes to be exact in hot pink, white and yellow. They are so pretty and smell delicious. I've never had roses anywhere I lived before. And to be honest, I haven't got a clue of what to do with them. So I started asking co-workers who I recalled from the past may have had a green thumb:
Me: So I have roses?
Co-Worker: Ooh, what kind?
Me: Ummm, pretty ones?
Co-Worker: No, a shrub or a climber?
Me: Huh?
Well, after doing the dance of botany for another 10 to 15 mins. we figured out I had climbers. They gave me some very important information on what I need to do to ensure that they keep coming back and sent me on my way. But, it gets better. I also have other flowers and plants and....stuff growing there in my yard.
And then there are couple of these pretty bushes out front. Any idea what these are?
Then several of these in the back.
And on the side of the deck that surrounds the pool, there was a monstrous beast full of thorns that I swore said "Feed me Seymour" every time I gazed upon it. Well guess what baby...
They actually climb up the deck. They are so pretty. I'm enjoying all of this nature. Can't wait to see what wonderful surprises my yard has for me next!!!
